Boobylicious Trivia II

we'd like to give a HUGE thank you to everyone who came to trivia last night. we had a great time, and we hope you did too! we raised over $1,000, which makes it an even bigger success than last time.

also, we cannot thank hooters enough for their generosity. in addition to the use of their space last night, they gave us a bunch of prizes to give away, not to mention the fact that their servers and managers are fantastic.

thanks as well to everyone who donated prizes for the raffle, and to matt for the trivia questions and hosting. we'll be posting the questions and answers here soon.

thanks again, everyone! see you at the next event!

Over 1/3 of the way there!

Over $11,000!

As a team, we're over 1/3 of the way to our goal. We couldn't have done it without the generosity of our family, friends, and fans that keep coming to all of our fundraisers. Thank you to everyone that's donated thus far!

Pink Bats on the Field

I'm probably more of a baseball fan then the rest of Team Boobylicious, so reading something like this is pretty darn exciting.

To date, more than 200 (Major League Baseball) players have signed up to use a pink Louisville Slugger bat to raise awareness for breast cancer on Mother's Day, May 13th. That number is more than double the participation in 2006. [link]

To know that baseball players that are making millions of dollars to do their thing on the baseball field are willing to switch up their bats for a day and create some amazing awareness for the Susan G Komen for the Cure gives me even more hope that we'll find a cure sooner rather than later.

Michael Cuddyer, one of my favorite Minnesota Twins, puts it quite well:

"People now realize the importance of creating awareness for this issue, and they realize the impact that it did make," Cuddyer said of last year's event. "To be in the situation where you're able to do something, even as little as using a pink bat, it's worth making the effort to be a part of that."

Over halfway there!

After the incredible turnout at our Flip Cup Tournament, our team has crossed over the $15,000 mark, making us over halfway to our entire team goal.

Eight of our team members have raised over $1000 and everyone else is well on their way to meeting our individual minimums of $2200 per walker. Want to help? You can donate here!
