Back again with our Holiday Fundraiser!

It's been a while since we've updated this blog. About 3.5 months ago, everyone from Team Boobylicious that started the 2007 3 Day Walk walked across the finish line. It was an unforgettable experience, as always! We've already got a five member team signed up for 2008, and a few more folks waiting in the wings to join us for their first 3 Day experience!

And now, it's time for our first fundraiser - Holiday Cookies!

Whether it's as a Christmas gift, a holiday party dinner, or just to snack on around the home or office, we've got you covered. AND you'll be supporting a great cause, too.

Choose between chocolate chip cookies, peanut butter blossoms, iced sugar cookies, or a variety of the three. Each dozen costs $6, or you can order 5 dozen for only $25. There's free local delivery around the Twin Cities, or an extra $6 charge if you'd like us to ship them to you.

You can download the flyer here and pass it along to everyone you know. They (or you!) can order online at teamboobylicious.com/cookies, and we'll be in touch to arrange delivery options!

Silent Auction Wrapup

Our silent auction last night was a huge success, thanks to everyone who took part. Thank you to everyone who came to the party, who placed a bid, and who donated! We had over 70 items available, and nearly everything was gone by the end of the night.

...including Wendy's hair! She promised she'd shave her head if she raised $5,000, and she did!

By the time the auction proceeds are all credited, our team will be over the $35,000 mark, and all our walkers will have reached their personal fundraising goals. Thanks to everyone who got us here!

Pancake Breakfast: Success

We got up early this past Saturday morning - earlier than most of us do for work during the week - and held ourselves a good ol' fashioned pancake breakfast, quite possibly making this one of our most traditional fundraisers to date.

Our guerrilla advertising maneuvers of holding these signs in front of Knollwood Mall and on Highway 7 drew in some traffic we weren't expecting, like a St. Louis Park police officer and some random Saturday morning mall walkers.

The Applebee's in St. Louis Park was a very wonderful and gracious host, showing our team the ropes very easily and allowing our pancake breakfast to flow very smoothly. Thanks to Todd the manager and his kitchen staff, we raised almost $300 in just two hours.

We're still accepting donations for our Silent Auction/final fundraiser that's taking place in just a couple of weeks. Read here for more details!

Mmm. Pancakes.

Don't forget about pancakes this Saturday!

In some down-to-the-wire fundraising attempts to make sure everyone on our team can participate in the walk, Team Boobylicious is having a good ol’ fashioned Pancake Breakfast this Saturday.

What: A breakfast of pancakes, bacon, sausage, and orange juice
When: Saturday, July 28th from 8-10 a.m.
Where: Applebee’s Restaurant at Knollwood Mall in St. Louis Park
How much: $5 per person

Applebee’s has asked that we have no more than 200 folks there, so if you’re planning on coming, please register in advance! You can actually pay when you get there.

Silent Auction Donations!

Do you knit, crochet, or sew?
Do you make jewelry or pottery?
Are you an artist or photographer?
Do you bake, cook, or can?
Do you spin or make clothing?
Do you just have cool stuff you'd like to give away for an incredible cause?
WE NEED YOU!

Team Boobylicious is holding a silent auction on August 16 at Hubert's. That's a week before the Breast Cancer 3Day, our very last fundraiser of the year.

We already have many great items to offer. We have autographed Twins baseballs signed by Joe Mauer, Justin Morneau, and the coaches. We have a professional bowling ball. We have handmade items, baked goods, and art. We have gift certificates to restaurants, and merchandise from local businesses. We have 2 $75 Timberwolves tickets.

In the interest of making this event a huge success, I would appreciate any help you can give us. I would love to be able to auction handmade or original items in particular. If you're the kind of person who creates and wants to help a very good cause, please contact us via email or comments here.

You will be given very generous recognition for your contribution before and during the event, featured on our auction website, and will have the satisfaction of knowing you did a good deed. Thanks in advance for your help, and a very sincere thank you to everyone who has already donated items to the cause.
